What is Strip Till Cultivation?

Strip Till Cultivation
Strip-till belongs to the technology of simplified tillage, however, it is distinguished by a completely different approach to simplification. It consists in leaving the inter-rows completely without tilling and moving only the strip intended for the plant row. Thanks to this, the seeds get into well-prepared soil and have good conditions for germination and growth. In inter-rows, the soil remains covered with plant debris (mulch), which protects it from being blown away, washed away by rain and unnecessary evaporation of water. Due to the limitation of ventilation, the soil humus content increases and after a few years its structure, water capacity and other properties are clearly improved. In strip-till technology it is possible to perform soil cultivation, fertilization and sowing in one pass, which, combined with the cultivation of only a part of the field surface, gives significant time and fuel savings and enables timely carrying out of cultivation operations, even in adverse weather conditions.
What can you sow?
Sugar beet
Grain
Cole
Corn
The benefits of growing using STRIP TILL
- Fuel saving – instead of three passes – tillage, plowing, cultivating, spreading fertilizer, we only have one pass.
- Time saving
Soil benefits :
- Water retention in soil
- Plants have good conditions for germination and growth
- In inter-rows, the soil remains covered with plant debris (mulch), which protects it from being blown away, washed away by rain and unnecessary evaporation of water.
- It enables timely execution of treatments (sowing cole in stubble allows you to prepare for picking beets, which very often interfered with delayed harvest)
